\"Human<\/a><\/p>\n

The Capuchin Crypt “Church of the Bones”\u00a0<\/strong>contains\u00a0the bones of\u00a0\u00a03700 monks that\u00a0decorate the rooms of\u00a0the crypt below the church to remind us of the impermanence of life.\u00a0Via Vittorio Veneto 27.<\/p>\n

\"Ttemple<\/a><\/p>\n

San Clemente<\/strong> has two Christian churches on top<\/em> of an ancient Roman temple to the Mysteries of Mithras where a bull was sacrificed on the altar to commemorate the birth of Mithras on December 25th. \u00a0Via Labicana 9.<\/p>\n

\"Angry<\/a><\/p>\n

The Monster House<\/strong> on Via Gregoriana has monstrous faces surrounding the door and windows.<\/p>\n

\"Relic<\/a><\/p>\n

Finger of \u00a0Doubting\u00a0Thomas. <\/strong>When Thomas met Jesus who had risen from the dead, he doubted it, so Jesus placed Thomas’ finger in the wound on his side. Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Piazza di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme.<\/p>\n

\"Santa<\/a><\/p>\n

Body of Santa Cecilia<\/strong> in Santa Cecilia in Trastevere. Her actual body is below the statue on the main altar that shows the wounds she suffered while the Romans tried to kill her.<\/p>\n

\"Heart<\/a><\/p>\n

Heart of San Carlo al Corso.<\/strong> A relic of his heart is presented on an altar behind the main sanctuary.\u00a0Via del Corso 437.<\/p>\n

\"Skull<\/a><\/p>\n

The skull\u00a0of John the Baptist\u00a0<\/strong>is found\u00a0San Silvestro in Capite, one of the four churches that claim to have this relic. The skull is in the first chapel on the left, the one with the beautiful stained glass of St. John’s head on a platter.\u00a0Piazza di S. Silvestro 17A.<\/p>\n

San Ignazio<\/strong>, where a side chapel houses a grandiose baroque altar filled with dozens of skulls, femurs, and other bones are incorporated into the decoration.\u00a0Via del Caravita 8a, Beautiful church.<\/p>\n
